The Upholstery & Carpet Cleaning Show

A DAY FOR CARPET CLEANERS ORGANISED BY CARPET CLEANERS.

The 2009 CCDO (Carpet Cleaners Day Out) was held at the Goodyear Pavilion in Wolverhampton and is a yearly event.

Over 140 carpet, upholstery and leather cleaning firms were in attendance on a day that gave us sunshine, snow and hailstones.

The idea of the event was to provide practical sessions and demonstrations on real life issues affecting the day to day running of a carpet cleaning business.

Paul Moss covered quick and easy leather cleaning (a fast growing side of the business).

Dave Liahona was demonstrating saturation oriental rug cleaning and re-tufting/re-weaving.

Doug Holloway, a qualified chemist (who happens to be a carpet cleaner) was demonstrating the use of household products to remove stains.

Roger Peach gave a presentation on money saving tips and advice on all banking aspects, to improve running a carpet cleaning business.

Peter Sweeney gave an in depth talk on Yell.com on how it works, and what not to buy. A scheme very popular with carpet cleaners.

The suppliers were showcasing their products too. Alltec had their new 3 vac portable machine on show amongst other equipment, aswell as Cleansmart who showcased their new machine too.

Restormate were demonstrating the highly impressive Prowler machine. Furniture Clinic were there with their wide range of Leather cleaning and repair/restoration products as well as their training courses. Also on show were Craftex and Chemspec, again showcasing their impressive range of carpet and upholstery cleaning chemicals. Lastly CleanPro Software Solutions were there showcasing Cleaners Mate - a very popular software package indeed. 

Next years event promises to be an even bigger and better with some of the sessions of this years being repeated and of course some new ones. There will also be more suppliers attending and not just industry specific ones as the event aims to continue with it practical theme.

The feedback on the day was very encouraging and just went to show that there is a real need to for this type of event.
